Solution

: Missing file:

 mscoree.dll

When running Norton Disk Doctor, it tells you that you have a problem of "medium" severity; namely, that you are missing the file, "mscoree.dll." The details of the problem message are as follows:

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\Professional\Run time\0701\Intel32\DotNetInstaller.exe"

DOWNLOAD FILE FROM HERE

then unzip and store the file somewhere you can retrieve it easily

file will look something like this when unzipped

(or whatever letter your hard drive is)

then folders

Program Files,

Common Files,

InstallShield,

Professional,

Run time,

0701, (maybe 0901)

Intel32

DotNetInstaller.exe  plus other files should be showing in this folder simply cut and paste mscoree.dll into this folder then run NORTON again all should be fixed
